School Board

The Juvenile Board serves as the school board for Excel Academy Charter School in accordance with Section 12.1051 of the Texas Education Code. The school board is the governing body of Excel Academy and oversees its operation and management. The chief probation officer of Harris County Juvenile Probation Department serves as superintendent of Excel Academy. 

Excel Academy operates as an open-enrollment charter school and is therefore subject to Chapter 551 of Texas Government Code, which governs school board meeting procedure. Persons who wish to sign up to make public comment at upcoming school board meetings may do so below.

A parent of a student enrolled at Excel Academy is entitled to review all teaching materials, instructional materials, and other teaching aids used in the classroom.  If you have any questions or comments related to your student's progress while enrolled at Excel Academy or wish to request materials related to instruction, please contact your campus principal here.
