ESSER

About ESSER Funds

The Federal Government allocated ESSER I funding to the State of Texas through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, ESSER II funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, and ESSER III funding through the American Rescue Plan. These funds assist local education agencies in responding to the pandemic, maintaining operations to ensure continuity of services, continuing to employ existing staff, mitigating learning loss, and meeting the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students and staff.

Excel Academy received $230,085.00 in ESSER I funds, spent in the fiscal year ending August 31, 2021; received $874,302.00 in ESSER II funds, which may be spent through September 2023; and received $1,964,191.00 in ESSER III funds, which may be spent through September 2024.
