Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)

The Federal Government allocated to the State of Texas ESSER I funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, ESSER II funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, and ESSER III funding through the American Rescue Plan. These funds assist local education agencies in responding to the pandemic, maintaining operations to ensure continuity of services, continuing to employ existing staff, mitigating learning loss, and meeting the social/emotional/mental health needs of students and staff.

Excel Academy received $230,085 in ESSER I funds. These funds were spent in the fiscal year ending August, 31 2021.

Excel Academy received $874,302 in ESSER II funds which may be spent through September 2023.

Excel Academy received $1,964,191 in ESSER III funds which may be spent through September 2024. A minimum of 20 percent of the ESSER III funds must be spent on addressing learning loss and responding to the social/emotional/mental health needs of students. Excel Academy is required to obtain ongoing stakeholder input as to how the ESSER III funds should be used. As an HCJPD and/or Excel Academy Stakeholder we ask you to please take a few minutes to fill out this survey (English Version) (Spanish Version).
